Dr. Hughes had spent 25 years building what most physicians only dream about — a thriving MS clinic serving 500+ patients annually, stroke networks, epilepsy monitoring units, ALS care programs. She had served 13 years on the National MS Society board. Published work. Delivered keynotes. Created programs that outlived her involvement and continued serving patients long after she stepped back.

The first thing we did was listen not to her resume, but to how she thinks. Her signature humor. Her pattern of truth-telling. Her builder mindset: the instinct to create programs that outlive her involvement, structures that keep serving people after she steps back.
The methodology moved through three phases we call Dreaming, Doing, and Leading. Dreaming excavated the vision — why neurology, the systemic gaps in healthcare, what she wanted next. Doing translated that vision into a concrete roadmap, content frameworks, and a voice guide she could execute independently. Leading built the platform infrastructure, LinkedIn positioning, board research, content calendar highlighting cultural moments that would make her visible to exactly the right people.
