The Well Run's Dry
Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 11:47AM Well, I'll be honest with you. I've been at this daily blogging thing for the last two and a half weeks and some days I find to be easier than others. Even as I write this, I struggle asking myself..."What is the point I'm trying to make"? I think through all of this, I've enjoyed being a "writer", and I use that term very loosely. I am far from a writer, but there is something about expressing myself in this way that has been very liberating. Just another way for me to express my creativity. But, like I said, some days are easier than others. On occasion, I feel like I just don't have any photos to show or no words to say; my well has run dry. Until I sit down at the computer, I stare at the blank screen and suddenly thoughts come to mind. I begin to type and before I know it, I've completed another blog post! It's funny how that happens. On days when you feel like you're at your worst, can turn out to be a day where you are the most creative and expressive.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that whatever you're trying to do in life, no matter how big or small, sometimes all you have to do is just show up and let your creative spirit take over.
"During periods of relaxation after concentrated intellectual activity, the intuitive mind seems to take over and can produce the sudden clarifying insights which give so much joy and delight" - Fritjof Capra. Thanks for listening... :)

Loved it, Ariane! Your cup runneth over, my new friend. :) Sometimes we just have to remember the old Nike motto "JUST DO IT." And, then, we find it's still within us! Miraculous, wonderful, creativity rebounds! ... Thank you...
Thank you Barb! "Just Do It" is probably one of the best motivational sayings out there. Creative slumps can be tough, but we can always get through it with a little bit of patience and determination. :)
