New Day Resolutions

Wow, ok...this whole week (and it's only Tuesday) I have been so anxious about New Year's day coming up.  I'm thinking about all of the changes I want to make in my life for 2010 because, hey after all, it is a new year.  It's a little overwhelming.  Myself as well as many other people around the world are coming up with new year's resolutions: eating healthier, going to the gym more, devoting more time to their business, going after that raise, etc.  The list goes on.  Every year, on December 31st, we all make plans for change, which is great, but what I discovered is that every day can be a day for change.  December 31st, like any other day on the calendar can be treated as a new chance to start over; it's never too late.  Let today be the day you let go of that negative person who always brings you down and discourages your dreams.  And today, when you go to the supermarket, add some vegetables to your shopping cart because from now on, you're going to eat healthier.  The beauty about letting today be your day for change is that it's ok to fail because guess what, tomorrow will be your new chance to start over.  Never give up.  I'm smiling at this point because just the thought of how wonderful life is to know that you have endless opportunities to live the life you want.

So I challenge you.  Instead of New Year resolutions, how about trying New Day resolutions?  I accept my own challenge and I hope you do too.  Remember, we're all in this together.  One day at a time...

I'd love to hear from you out there.  Please feel free to comment or email me with your thoughts.

The reason I don't make New Year resolutions is because I make changes on a moment's notice, as soon as I decide a change is needed. New Day/Moment resolutions, here we go! :-)
